What's Included with Wedding DJ Service?

We have created a simple solution to deliver high quality DJ service that meets the needs of most couples. The following services are included in the Melodic Package.

  • Equipment Setup and Breakdown Time Included

    There is no additional cost for setup and breakdown. When you are choosing hours you just need to count the time from Ceremony Start through Reception Finish.

  • Up to 2 DJ Setups (for Ceremony and Reception)

    We bring two different sound systems - one for ceremony and one for reception. This allows for a smoother transition from the ceremony space to the reception space.

  • Battery Powered Ceremony Setup

    We bring a portable battery power station for the ceremony just in case the electric outlet plug-ins are inconveniently located.

  • Wireless and Wired Microphones

    We bring wireless microphones because they are convenient. We also bring wired microphones because they are reliable.

  • Indoor and/or Outdoor

    We can DJ indoors or outdoors.

  • Up to 8 speakers

    We bring plenty of speakers to make sure we get sound in all of the right places at a comfortable listening volume.

    Whether there is a day-of-coordinator or not we will follow the established timeline and communicate effectively with other key vendors to ensure the wedding day flows appropriately.

  • Complimentary Phone or Video Consults

    You can schedule a meeting with us whenever you need to using our online scheduler.

  • 80 miles travel included

    80 miles of round trip travel are already included in the package.

  • Guest arrival background music included

    We'll have music playing for Guest arrival, which is typically about 30 minutes prior to ceremony start.

$250 — Effect lighting to help Guests enjoy the dance floor

Event Rehearsal

$300 + Travel — Request DJ Harris to participate in the wedding rehearsal. Subject to availability.

Administrative Fees

Administrative Fees cover operating costs. These fees are only charged when necessary.

Hands On Music, LLC is a music, media, and entertainment company based out of Albany, Oregon. mynewdj is our brand name for mobile DJ services. The company is owned by Aaron and Kelsey and has been in operation since 2016. Aaron's stage name is DJ Aaron Harris, and he is the sole Disk Jockey for the company.


We focus on Wedding Ceremonies and Receptions in Oregon's mid-valley and surrounding areas. We also cover private parties, company events, school dances/activities, and promotional events. Regardless of the event, we love exceeding expectations while supporting our clients for their special celebrations.

Music Questions

  • What kind of songs do you play?

    We can play just about any song that you request, as long as it is available for purchase from a major online distributor. 


    DJ Aaron Harris is an open format DJ which means that he can play music from a wide variety of genres and mix them together with ease.

  • Can I give you a list of songs to play?

    We will accept a song request list from our clients, as well as a do not play list. Event Guests may use our song request app to requests songs, or they can request songs during the event by talking to DJ Aaron Harris.

Service Questions

  • Do you offer photo booth services?

    We do not offer photo booth services.

  • Do you offer lighting?

    We offer professional dance floor lighting. We do not offer up-lighting or ambient lighting (like string lights).

  • Do you provide emcee services?

    We provide emcee services by making announcements over PA speakers using an articulate and professional speaking voice.

Wedding DJ Questions

  • Do you show up for wedding rehearsal?

    We do not show up for wedding rehearsal unless requested to do so by the client. There is an additional fee for attending rehearsal.

  • Do you cue songs for the professional

    We will cue and play songs for the processional by collaborating with the wedding coordinator.

  • What kind of microphones do you provide for the ceremony?

    We use a wireless microphone on a mic stand for the officiant. We also have a secondary wireless handheld microphone, and a wired microphone available as a back-up solution.
