The three main school dances are Homecoming, Winter Dance, and Prom. We provide a fun and save environment for students to relax and have a good time together. Our catalog is full of clean, radio-ready songs. Students can send in song requests prior to the dance, and we will take song requests during the dance. We can also bring our dance floor lighting setup to add extra flare to the dance floor.

What's Included with DJ Service?

We have created a simple solution to deliver high quality DJ service that meets the needs of most couples. The following services are included in our standard packaging for school events.

  • Equipment Setup and Breakdown Time Included

    There is no additional cost for setup and breakdown. When you are choosing hours you just need to count the time from Ceremony Start through Reception Finish.

  • Wireless and Wired Microphones

    We bring wireless microphones because they are convenient. We also bring wired microphones because they are reliable.

  • Indoor and/or Outdoor

    We can DJ indoors or outdoors.

  • Up to 8 speakers

    We bring plenty of speakers to make sure we get sound in all of the right places at a comfortable listening volume.

Those issues may be a fire alarm, building power failure, or a student feeling unsafe in the crowded space. The DJ has to pay attention to what is happening on the dance floor at all times. It is necessary to act quickly and mitigate the issues. DJ Aaron Harris is skilled at being mindful and present while keeping the party atmosphere going.

Booking Questions

  • Is a deposit required?

    A deposit is required on most contracts, except for contracts with government organizations (due to state rule and law).


    If the school is paying for the DJ services, then there will not be a deposit required. If the parents of the students are paying for DJ services, then a deposit will be required.

  • When is the final invoice/balance due?

    The final invoice/balance is due 2 weeks prior to event day. Government organizations pay the final invoice/balance on the day of the event, per state procurement rule and law.

  • How do I book mynewdj?

    Booking mynewdj is simple.

  • Are you available on my event date?

    The best way to find out if we are available on your event date is to contact us.

Music Questions

  • What kind of songs do you play?

    We can play just about any song that you request, as long as it is available for purchase from a major online distributor. 


    DJ Aaron Harris is an open format DJ which means that he can play music from a wide variety of genres and mix them together with ease.

  • Can I give you a list of songs to play?

    We will accept a song request list from our clients, as well as a do not play list. Event Guests may use our song request app to requests songs, or they can request songs during the event by talking to DJ Aaron Harris.

  • Do you play explicit or clean versions of songs?

    For school events, we play clean and radio edit versions of songs. If there is not clean or radio edit of a song then we will decline the song request.

Service Questions

  • Do you offer photo booth services?

    We do not offer photo booth services.

  • Do you offer lighting?

    We offer professional dance floor lighting. We do not offer up-lighting or ambient lighting (like string lights).

  • Do you provide emcee services?

    We provide emcee services by making announcements over PA speakers using an articulate and professional speaking voice.
